Ducati 795 Monster - On its way to India.

This is the newest Ducati that’s coming to India. Since the newest of the factory is in Thailand it was eventual that the price of all the Ducati to fall. The newest of their product for India is the 795 Monster. This particular bike comes just under the range of the all time favourite Monster 796. The aggressiveness of the bike is evident in its looks and even in its pricing. This is the cheapest Ducati ever (yet!), but when I say cheap don’t get me wrong. Ducati has not compromised with the standards at all. They have made the vehicle cheap keeping the Ducati standards intact. Like all other Ducati this Monster 795 is assembled for India in Thailand. The whole bike is designed and engineered in Italy. The engine is born in Borgo Panigale factory in Bologna. All these are shipped to Thailand and then assembled there for the Asian market.  The bike gets a triple parabola headlight and a very good digital instrument cluster. The rev counter is up to 12000 rpm. The LED tail is slim and looks very neat and attractive. The whole monsterish gene had been retained for the bike and is clearly evident in the looks of it.
The bike gets an 803 cc, desmodue, L-Twin air-cooled, dual spark engine that produces a maximum of  about 87 bhp at 8280 rpm and torque of about 80 nm at 6280 rpm. The two into one into two exhausts looks awesome and the sound it produces will make your heart go racing. The monster like sound is really music to ears. The clutch is wet type, 21 plate and the 6 speed gearbox comes with 1 down and five up pattern. I strongly believe that this bike is not exactly ideal for India; however, the bike still looks damn cool. The bike has Ducati Traditional, Trellis’ frame with an alloy cast. The bike also has dual-sided swing arm. The suspension is thick of about 43 mm: The front gets 120 mm travel morzochi upside down forks while the rear gets adjustable, Sachs monoshock with linkage. The riding position of the bike has been optimised for Asian riders. It also gets deeply grooved tank with slim flanks. The brakes in the bike are Brembo with ABS being optional. The front of the bike gets 2x320 mm discs with four piston callipers and the rear gets a 245 mm discs. The overall weight of the bike with ABS is 169 kg and the one without the ABS is 167 kg. Recent news suggests that the bike will be priced around 5 lacks and I won’t be that surprised if the price go up a little. Ducati also said that they will be adding four more dealers to their current three. This will hopefully solve the problem of having lack of dealer networks. With around 5 lack rupees I won’t be too surprised if my cheque book writes a cheque all by itself to but this beauty. This news sure suggests that we will be seeing a lot more Ducati bikes on roads from now on. The only problem with Ducati is the lack of dealer networks which hopefully will be dealt in the near future.
